I went to burn some music onto a disk and it isn't recognizing the disk at all. For DVD or Blu-ray movie playback, specific playback software and codecs are required to be installed on your computer. Try reading disks from another OS (like a Linux LiveCD or something), and if it still doesn't read DVD's as expected (like, every time) then the next step is to test If your computer is capable of playing the files off the DVD, but your home entertainment DVD player cannot play the file, you are likely encountering this problem.
