I'll try running memtest on it when I'm at lunch or overnight - dont remember off hand how long it takes memtest to run through a few cycles, so not sure And I never had to disable nVidia audio drivers in my old setup. I don't know if this will help anyone but it actually was a simple fix for me. And maybe I was just lucky that my conclusion was correct.
