I opened Performance Options in Control Panel and selected "Adjust for best performance" in the Visual Effects tab. It runs fine, no crashes or BSOD. If I knew what circumstances cause this bug, I'd already be avoiding them. A variation on the above workaround is to use the mouse to open File | Open File and then hit the escape key. The workaround (and a quite annoying one at that) is to click on the Windows taskbar then back on the chat text input box. It should be noted that this is not an IMAP problem, as I do not use that. the only way to recover fully is to quit mozilla. Check This Out Didn't mean to offend you.
