Only thing that worked after a clean install and reloading drivers. Solution 2 worked! Both dates reset to NEVER. How Do I Turn On The Windows Update Service Despite being very computer savvy, I couldn’t figure it out.

You are so awesome. Windows Update Cannot Currently Check For Updates Windows 7 64 Bit I spent nearly 2 days looking for solutions online and none of them worked. I am not an expert in computer and was afraid of dealing with program files.

Fixed. After everything seemed complete it still wouldn't work. My PC manufacturer (DELL) does not have the driver available for my PC (Dimension E510). It happened after I replaced the hard-drive on my laptop and reinstalled windows using the recovery disks.
